How to Cast to Samsung TV from Your Phone
Install Video & TV Cast for Samsung TV on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone. With the phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi, tap the cast icon and pick your TV. The first time, install the free TV Cast app on the TV with your Samsung remote. Then open a website in the app, play the video and tap the video link below the browser.

1. Connect
Put your phone and Samsung TV on the same Wi-Fi. Tap the cast icon in the app and pick your TV. The first time, install the free TV Cast app on the TV with your Samsung remote.
2. Open Website
Open a website in the built-in browser of the app, for example YouTube, and start the video.
3. Tap to Cast
Tap the video link below the browser. The video now plays on your Samsung TV and your phone stays free.

Do I need an app on my Samsung TV?
Yes, the free TV Cast app from the Samsung App Store on your TV. The first time you connect, Video & TV Cast opens its download page on the TV. Select Download or Install with your Samsung remote. If the TV asks for permission, allow it.
Which Samsung TVs work?
Samsung Smart TVs from the 2010 models on, both Tizen TVs and older models. Some Samsung Blu-ray players work too.
Can I cast from iPhone and Android?
Yes. Video & TV Cast for Samsung TV is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store and for Android phones and tablets on Google Play.
Why does the app not find my Samsung TV?
Turn the TV on and check that your phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi. If the TV Cast app is installed on the TV, open it. If it still does not work, restart the app, then restart your phone, the TV and the Wi-Fi router.
The app says the connection is blocked. What do I do?
Another version of Video & TV Cast is running on your phone. Close it and restart this app. If that does not help, restart your phone.
My Samsung TV has Smart View and AirPlay. Why use Video & TV Cast?
Smart View mirrors your whole phone screen, so the phone must stay on the video. AirPlay only works from Apple devices and only on Samsung TVs from 2018 on. Video & TV Cast sends only the video, works from Android and iPhone, and also works on older Samsung TVs.
Why is there no video link below the browser?
Start the video in the browser first. Some websites only load the video file when it plays. Then the video link shows up and you can tap it to cast.
Can I cast Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+?
No. These services protect their videos with DRM, so no casting app can send them. Use the Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+ app on your Samsung TV instead.
Can I cast my own videos and photos?
Yes. Video & TV Cast also sends videos and photos from your phone or tablet to the Samsung TV. The free version casts some of your own media, Premium makes it unlimited.
Is Video & TV Cast for Samsung TV free?
The app is free to download and shows ads. Premium features like the Ad-Blocker and unlimited own media are one-time purchases. There is no subscription.
